So you've decided to help your child to give up their dummy gently? Well done!
To make this big life change more fun, we’ve designed a weaning calendar to help you visualise the different stages.
It's easy to stop using a dummy thanks to our weaning calendar
You’ll need plenty of tricks up your sleeve when you want your child to stop using their dummy. So we’ve created a calendar to help your child give up their dummy.
As you know at Clipp, we advise you to involve your child in the process: this is THE best way to ensure that weaning is easy and accepted by your little one.
We are convinced that the more your child is involved in the weaning process, the more successful it will be! You can introduce them to Clipp, explaining that it is a magic dummy that will help them to stop sucking a dummy!
The clip-on shields reduce the size of the sucking teat, allowing the child to gently detach from their dummy.
Many parents include adding a shield in their weekly ritual. And the weaning calendar is the perfect tool for marking the occasion.

Involving my child in weaning is easy, thanks to the calendar
The weaning calendar is a great support for all parents who want to help their child visualise stopping the dummy over time!
You can download it from the link right here I want my dummy weaning calendar
You’ll find everything you need to make weaning fun! A colourful calendar on the first page and instructions for use with stickers and a picture of a present!

How can I use the calendar to stop dummy use?
Once you’ve downloaded your weaning calendar, you’ll need to print it out. Don’t forget to uncheck the double-sided option, otherwise you might find it difficult to cut out the pictograms to be positioned on the key dates for giving up the dummy!
This calendar is fully customisable. You can write your child’s first name at the top and note the dates in each white box.
Some parents even laminate the timeline so that it can withstand the test of time, and the frenetic pace of a busy household! Ever heard of dirty hands and chocolate stains? Yes, we though so … We know all about them, too!
You will find images to cut out in the downloadable file: 5 shields and a gift!
You can stick them on the weaning calendar using blu-tac on the chosen dates. This will allow you to reposition them if necessary to adapt the process of giving up the dummy to your child’s rhythm.
We suggest that you place one shield per week on the calendar. But if you are away on holiday, or there is a period of change in your lives or your child is simply showing some reluctance following the addition of the last shield, don’t hesitate to extend the deadline! A longer but successful weaning is better than a transition that is too rapid and difficult for the child.
Your child can then tick off, stick on a sticker or colour in each day to see how they’re progressing and take part in this big change as they grow up!
The little surprise at the end of weaning: the gift!
You’ll find an image of a small gift with our weaning support calendar. It’s up to you to decide whether you want to encourage your child by giving them a surprise at the end of their weaning period. If so, stick the picture at the end of the calendar and count the days together!
It can be a great motivator to help your child give up the dummy easily.
Now you know what you have to do to make Day 1 of this big change a reality!
And once the process is complete, don’t forget to print out and complete your child’s certificate to show off their great achievement!
